The living Oak tree brings us the Strength and Power with which it stood, observing the passing of time, seasons, animals and people during the Bronze Age.
Patience is also a wonderful gift, as this mighty Oak wishes to remind us.
This Oak, after watching the passing of the seasons, then found itself submerged beneath moving waters and boggy peat. Finding a place to hide, a place of protection from whence it could reappear when the time was right. To teach us about the importance of Endurance and being Solid in our abilities and belief of things to come.
I hand carve all the wands I make, using only a sharp knife. No machines or sandpaper are used in the shaping and finish. This means the wands are as natural as possible and give you the cleanest tool to work with. Each wand was held in my hands for many hours as I sit, connected to the earth barefoot, turning and working them to their finished shape. Each wand is unique and you will see and feel all the marks made by the knife.
